- Free guidance and advice on regulations and permits.
- Legal advice | Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, by appointment.

Membership
Membership at CIAPR is a legal requirement to practice as an engineer or land surveyor in Puerto Rico, regulated since 1927 by Law 41 and reaffirmed by Laws 399 and 173 of 1988. Beyond the legal obligation, it offers opportunities for professional growth through Continuing Education, leadership, and professional recognition. CIAPR also plays a key role in the socio-economic development of the country by collaborating with public and private agencies to improve infrastructure.

- Licensed Engineer or Land Surveyor
- A professional with a valid license issued by the Puerto Rico Board of Examiners who may practice without limitations and is an active member of CIAPR.
- Associate Engineer or Land Surveyor
- A professional with an Associate certificate, authorized to practice within private or government institutions. They may supervise trainees but are not authorized to certify plans, designs, or measurements independently.
- Engineer or Land Surveyor in Training
- A professional authorized to practice in a limited capacity under the direct supervision of a licensed professional. Must be certified and an active CIAPR member. Cannot independently certify plans, designs, or assume primary responsibility.
- Full Member
- Engineer or land surveyor who joined before September 1, 2006, with full rights including the ability to hold elective office within CIAPR.
- Associate Member
- Engineer or land surveyor trainee who joined after September 1, 2006, pays a reduced fee, and cannot preside over a Component or represent a Component before the Governing Board while maintaining this status.
