Professional practice in engineering and land surveying refers to the practice of these professions under established standards and regulations, ensuring that professionals perform their work in an ethical, competent, and safe manner. This involves applying technical and scientific knowledge to projects and services, complying with legal and regulatory requirements, and safeguarding community health and safety.

Professional Practice Office

  • The Office provides technical or legal guidance regarding the practice of engineering and land surveying. To request such guidance, please send your inquiry to practica@ciapr.org.
  • The Office of Professional Practice does not conduct investigations based on anonymous sources, and all information submitted must be properly substantiated before any action can be taken.

The following certifications containing public information may be issued:

  1. Certificate of Active Membership Status
  2. Certificate of Non-Membership
  3. Certificate of Retired Membership Status

To request any of these certifications, you must complete the application form and send it to practica@ciapr.org
